I created this blog to give guidance to our Indian STPM students who are applying for local universities(IPTA). My goal is to increase the number of Indian Students in the local University. This stats are obtained from (Kexijifen) and also from Indian Students from few University. I have combined and analyzed the data so that it will be easier to be used by students.

Remember that this is just a guidance. This is a statistical data for the intake of 2008/2009. The Average Cut off point varies from year to year but the variation is very little. MIN - VERY RISKY TO APPLY WITH THAT CGPA (HIGH RISK)

Do check the SYARAT AM and SYARAT KHAS before you apply.
If you never fulfill these requirement your application is considered as not successful.

ADVICE

Do chose the best course you like and very likely to get with your results and place them in order.
Try to apply by following the MEAN or maybe even REC but try not to apply by using the MIN as it will usually change and improve year by year.
All the government universities are recognized. Most the new universities (UMP,UTHM,UTEM,UNIMAP,UMT,UMK) are actually better that the older universities especially in terms of equipment as the equipments are new and functional.
Do consult few people especially your teachers or seniors in University before you apply.
Apply wisely. If you know you are not going to take that offer don't simply apply and waste another Indians chance to get into public university.

Modular System for STPM 2012 is proposed for STPM 2011, it has since been changed to be implemented in 2012. So for those who will enter Lower 6 in 2012, take note of this news and share this post to your friends.

Modular System for Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2012

What: New grading system for STPM examinations

When: To be implemented in 2012

Explanation of the modular system:
The modular system will have its assessment conducted at the end of the semester.
Each of the three semesters will have assessments.
The motivation behind this move is to mimic the continuous assessment in typical tertiary education institutions.
Coursework and school-based projects will also be assessed.
Only lower six students will be affected.

The content of the STPM syllabus however will stay the same.

This new announcement by Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr. Wee Ka Siong will overwrite those made in 2009.

So what’s your say on this modular based system? Is this a move forward or a step backwards? How will students cope with this new rules?

4.1 Permohonan hanya boleh dibuat secara atas talian (online) dengan melayari laman Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia di alamat : http://www.moe.gov.my mulai 08 Februari 2010.
4.2 Permohonan atas talian boleh dibuat dengan menggunakan Nombor Pengenalan Individu (PIN) yang boleh dibeli di Bank Simpanan Nasional di seleuruh negara dengan bayaran RM 6.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Enam sahaja) melalui saluran kaunter, ATM dan perbankan Sistem Maklumat Ringkas (SMS).
4.3 Pemohon dinasihatkan melayari laman sesawang tersebut bagi mendapatkan maklumat iklan, bidang pengkhususan dan gred minimum serta kalendar aktiviti sebelum membuat permohonan.
4.4 Calon dibenarkan mengemukakan SATU permohonan sahaja.
4.5 Calon boleh menggunakan nombor PIN yang sama untuk membuat pindaan butiran kepada permohonan yang telah dihantar. Pindaan butiran permohonan dihadkan tiga kali sahaja dan hendaklah dibuat sebelum tarikh tutup permohonan.
4.6 Maklumat yang tidak benar dan tidak lengkap boleh mengakibatkan permohonan ditolak.

7. MAKLUMAN DAN PERHATIAN
7.1 Calon yang dipanggil temu duga dikehendaki menduduki ujian Inventori Sahsiah Keguruan (INSAK) semasa menghadiri temu duga.
7.2 Pemilihan calon untuk mengikuti kursus perguruan adalah bergantung kepada kedudukan pencapaian merit skor akademik, prestasi dan temu duga dan keputusan ujian INSAK. Keputusan oleh Jawatankuasa Pemilihan aalah muktamad.
7.3 Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia berhak menawarkan program atau bidang pengajian bukan pilihan dan menempatkan calon yang berjaya di mana-mana Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG).
7.4 Calon dinasihatkan menyemak status permohonan mereka dari semasa ke semasa untuk status panggilan temu duga dan juga tawaran ke IPG yang ditetapkan.
7.5 Tiada surat menyurat dikeluarkan untuk panggilan temu duga. Segala perbelanjaan dan risiko menghadiri temu duga adalah tanggungjawab calon sendiri.
7.6 Surat tawaran rasmi bagi calon yang berjaya akan diserahkan di IPG yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia setelah calon melapor diri di IPG.

8. PENDAFTARAN

Calon yang telah ditemu duga dan tidak menerima sebarang maklumat dalam tempoh satu (1) bulan selepas tarikh pendaftaran adalah dianggap tidak berjaya. 9. IKATAN PERJANJIAN PENDIDIKAN GURU

Calon yang ditawarkan mengikuti kursus di Institut Pendidikan Guru adalah tertakluk kepada ikatan Perjanjian Pendidikan Guru seperti yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. Calon hendaklah bersetuju dan patuh dengan kontrak perjanjian untuk berkhidmat di mana-mana sekolah atau institusi pendidikan termasuk di kawasan pedalaman seperti yang diarahkan oleh pihak kerajaan setelah tamat berkursus.

AMCHAM-MACEE Scholarship

AMCHAM created a scholarship endowment program in 1998 to benefit deserving Malaysian students planning to pursue their undergraduate studies in the United States. The AMCHAM-MACEE 2010 Scholarship awards a US$20,000 scholarship, covering four years of undergraduate study in the United States ($5000.00/year renewable for four years subject to meeting the specified conditions). The scholarship is open to qualified Malaysian students who are accepted to an accredited university in the United States for four years of study culminating in a Bachelors degree. The student must be accepted for Fall semester, 2010.

ELGIBILITY
Malaysian Students who have completed SPM, O Levels, STPM or A Levels.
Secondary school results must be translated into English, certified as ta true copy and submitted with the application.
TOEFL and SAT scores must be submitted, IF they are required by the U.S. university to which the student is applying to.
Two letters of recommendation.
Certified copy of IC or Malaysian Passport.
Prior acceptance into U.S. university/college.

CRITERIA

c. Applicants must qualify to gain admission to the participating institution for the relevant course.
d. Applicants must be active in sports and/or co-curricular activities.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
a. The scholarship shall be in the form of full tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of the course.
b. The scholarship is for students to pursue courses in Malaysia only, at participating institutions. The scholarship specifically does not cover any fees etc. which may relate to studies overseas.
c. The scholarship shall be for the duration of the course and may be between one and four years. Students already enrolled at participating institutions may also apply. The students’ scholarship shall be for the remaining part of their course.
d. theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund holder shall not receive any scholarship offered by other educational institutions or organizations.
e. On all matters pertaining to theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund, the decision(s) of theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund Awarding Committee (and relevant participating institution, as appropriate) shall be final and binding.
f. Applicants may apply for scholarships to a maximum of two institutions, but are entitled to only one scholarship.
g. Scholarship recipients are also subjected to other terms and conditions as may be decided by the participating institutions.
h. Terms and conditions of theSun-MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund may be modified and amended from time to time as deemed appropriate by the theSun- MAPCU Higher Education Scholarship Fund Awarding Committee.

Airtime Management and Programming Sdn Bhd (AMP) being part of ASTRO All ASIA BROADCAST Plc (ASTRO) strongly believe that education is one of the ways to assist and help the people to better themselves and to build a greater future for their families, community and ultimately for their country. It is with this firm believe that AMP through its radio station “MY FM” together with Magnum Corporation Berhad (Magnum) establishes this Programme to provide financial assistance for young outstanding Chinese Malaysian students to continue performing well in schools.

The goal of the Programme is to promote academic excellence by providing outstanding students, who are in need of financial assistance, the opportunity to reach their full potential in the future. Scholarships for the needy

I wish to offer scholarships to 50 poor students for the next academic year to study finance and accountancy in University TAR, Kampar, Perak on the following conditions:-

1. Each student’s family income should not be more than Rm 2,000 per month.
2. Students will be selected more on the basis of their financial need and not merely on their academic achievement.
3. Each scholarship is worth Rm 20,000 which should be enough for each student to cover the cost for the first year foundation course and the first semester of the degree course in finance and accountancy until he or she secures the PTPTN loan. This Government loan is given to all students irrespective of race and financial position who are doing a recognised degree course.
4. Students who receive my financial aid do not require to pay back the money or work for me after they graduate. But I want them to promise me that they will help other poor students when they have graduated and are financially solvent.

UTAR takes in students in January and June every year. Students who are currently doing SPM can submit their applications to U TAR this October with their forecast results to start in January 2010.

Social networking has been really popular these days. I was so sick of all the invitation from various social networking program until I found Coursehero. Coursehero is the learning networking program. What is learning networking actually ? Learning networking actually means that you could share your study materials with people all over the world? Sound Great right ?

Coursehero is an open coursework website for college students where it connects millions of people who can share, expose, teach knowledge. This website is mainly aimed at networking among college students and I assure that its a great learning platform. It will be great for students who once to complete any project or thesis like me. This is because they can share all the finding with millions of students out there and probably find some related information.

One that impresses me the most with the Coursehero is the Engineering Computer Homework Answer. I found few question which came out for my Computer Engineering final paper here. I wish would have known about Coursehero earlier. They have more than 200,000 textbook solution which is free when you sign up. I guess i better start downloading the UCSD Computer Engineering Homework Answer. I am supposed to submit my Computer Engineering Homework by this Monday.
